What are the restrictions on a bankrupt?

• Shall not be appointed or act as Sessions Court Judge or Magistrate.
• Cannot be nominated for elections and / or be representative (lose eligibility to be member or hold any post in association).
• Cannot be nominated or elected to or holding or exercising the office of Counciilor of a Local Authority.
• Cannot maintain any action except with sanction of DGI.
• Cannot leave the country except with DGI’s or court’s permission. 
• Cannot enter into or carry on any business or act as director or take part in the management of company except with DGI’s or court permission.
• Cannot work with spouse, family or relatives’ company except with DGI’s or court permission.
• Not allowed to make loan exceeding RM1,000.00 without informing the lender that he was a bankrupt.
